Day 20

As salaamu Alaikum

May Allah bless all you. Ameen

Well this is our 20th day here in Egypt, (Alexandria). Al hamdulillah everything is going well. The only thing is that it is taking some time to get internet in he home. They dont move as fast as US like comcast or Quest or At &t. Maybe we are just spoiled. Also we are spoiled with some things being right at our finger tips. So the lesson in this is SABR. A brother told me today that Egypt or MSR M=Mushkila(problem) S=Sabr(patience) R=Rahma OAllah have Mercy on us.

As far as studies. Alhamdulillah Arabic course has begun. I missed the first week because I was still in USA but they gave us a test and I started level 1 within three days. Maasha Allah the teacher seems to be great better acoording to my class mates. Because the previos teacher left for different fjob in Saudi arabia. So I was righton time. I did well on the mid test and the Final is next Thursday. Insha Allah I will do well. Also started with Quran. I am starting from the beginning in agroup class but I think i may change to private so that I can better utilise my time here. Dividing an hour for Quran is ..... Anyway the Quran teacher is also good. Alhamdulillah I found out that his chain goes 31 back to the Prophet (pbuh). That is good. actually his teacher is 32 and he recited to 31 Umm saad who was a teacher to thousands. May Allah have mercy on her. and all of us. Ameen. HE is good and correcting my mistakes. May Allah forgive me for whatever mistakes I made to others. Also he recommended that if you want to learn correct tajweed, listen o Khaleel al hosary. All the other qaris are good mishary, shuraim etc. but to learn correct pronunciation it is good to have Husary. Any way ayuub started school this week for arabic so hopefully he will be speaking soon.

Im out for now. May Allah bless you Ameen. and hope to hear from you

Dugsi March 22,2009

I begin with the name of Allah

Today i received a letter from my students in dugsi. It was very touching. It gives me the extra push to work hard when I travel so that I become an effective teacher when I return insha Allah. I have to improve my recitation and connection to the Quran so that I can pass the knowledge on by the leave of Allah. So I hope that Sumaya, Aisha, Sara, Faduma and others that I will list later continue to memorize their quran and may Allah bless them all and give them Jannah. Ameen

One week to Begin trip to Egypt

Al Hamdulillah wa insha Allah, Allah has given me the opportunity to seek knowledge, Learning the language of Jannah and the Book of Allah and to memorize His Book. The reason i say insha Allah is because Allah knows if I will be able to take this journey. But I have prepared and got the necassary things to make the trip. However the rest is with Allah. I also continue to ask Allah to make my niyyay(intention) pure. Because shaitan is always waiting to take us off the path and to push us into the minor shirk. May Allah protect us all from this. Ameen.

So the purpose of this is to keep in touch with my brothers and sisters so that we stay connected and that we see what can do with the help of Allah. I ask everyone who reads this to make dua for me that this trip is beneficial for the dawah and for my akhirah. I will post as much as i can and will respond as much as I can. But remember I do have a plan and it is rigorous. So tarbiya brothers and sister, stay connected to eachother and get connected to Allah.
